As we head in to 2021, It is always a great time to reflect on our year and how we become better versions of ourselves. 2020 has been nothing short of tumultuous. Instead of making lists of goals we accomplished, I wrote down love notes and lessons that the year has taught me below. I hope some of these resonate with you like they did for me. What is something you've grown from? Some ways you loved on yourself?
- Some people will not like you and that’s ok.
- I don’t need to explain myself.
- Growth is often ugly but the outcome can be beautiful and transformative.
- Boundaries are important way to show up for yourself.
- External validation will not bring you happiness.
- “No.” Is a complete sentence.
- It’s my responsibility to make myself happy.
- My body does so much for me. It is a force of nature.
- I am not anyone’s emotional dumpster.
- When I trust myself, everything falls in line.
- Self love should not be rooted in consumerism.
- Learn to be OK with not being included.
- I can change my mind.
- My body belongs to me and I can do what I want with it.
- Toxic positivity robs you of being human.
- My body deserves pleasure.
- I don't owe people a response or my time.
- Doing nothing is OK.
- My body is deserves rest.
- Comparing myself to others minimizes all the wonderful progress I've made.
